Strong formation on general scientific knowledge built from the insertion of the students in teaching, extension and research activities, from the epistemological bases of scientific thinking and knowledge production;
Deep understanding of the historical process of knowledge formation so that the egress can become capable of well-founded criticism and scientific innovation;
In-depth and specific training in the PPGCMH’s concentration area and lines of research and in Human Movement Sciences in general;
Deep knowledge of teaching in higher education, ability to understand teaching as a fundamental development of societies and competence in managing the pedagogical practice in face of scientific advances.
In addition to these, it’s also aimed for doctoral egress to have:
Independency in carrying out research, having capacity to develop national and international partnerships, to produce knowledge and guide new researchers;
Be critical, ethical, capable of acting in higher education with deep knowledge of the specificity of their discipline and the general context of training and structuring of teaching, research and university extension in Brazil.
