The Graduate Program in Chemistry at UDESC (Santa Catarina State University) was accredited by CAPES in 2015, to issue master’s degrees in chemistry and started its activities in 2016.
Program Objectives
The GPAC, with concentration area in Chemistry has the objective of forming highly-qualified human resources in the field of Chemistry, generating professionals with a complex, multi and interdisciplinary formation. These professionals will contribute with scientific and technological innovation in the country, and perform activities of higher education and scientific and technological research.
Program Differentials (Strengths)
The GPAC forms professionals with scientific-technological profile appropriate for supplying the demand for research and education in public or private sectors of Brazil and of the world;
The GPAC develops professionals with a considerable level of scientific autonomy, eclectic and multi and interdisciplinary formation, ethical values and capable of understanding their role and potential for contributing for the development of the country;
The GPAC develops projects of knowledge transference to benefit the triad science, technology, and society;
The professors of the GPAC conduct research projects with the participation of researchers from different knowledge areas, of Brazilian and foreign universities, providing an environment appropriate for inter and multidisciplinarity and student mobility.
