The Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program of the State University of Santa Catarina - UDESC - is an academic master´s degree program. The main objective is the development of high-level research activities in the area of Modeling and Numerical Simulation applied to mechanical engineering problems in the research lines “Project, Analysis, and Optimization of Mechanical Systems” and “Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer.” The program seeks to prepare scholars in specialized areas within the field capable of providing and developing scientific investigations for solving non-trivial engineering problems, producing and spreading technical and scientific knowledge.
Course:
MASTER´S PROGRAM IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (Beginning in 2010-2011/semester 02).
Concentration areas and research lines:
MODELING AND NUMERICAL SIMULATION
(Lines: 1. Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer; 2. Project, Analysis, and Optimization of Mechanical Systems).
Program Strengths:
The MEGP has a strong interaction with the metal-mechanic industrial park in the region of Joinville (SC).
Minimum formation and other requirements for ingress:
The candidates for MEGP program need to have a bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or computer science. The procedure for student selection comprises: curriculum analysis, recommendation letter analysis, and an interview.
Form/period of ingress:
Two selection processes are conducted every year: in february and june.
