As part of the challenges involved in investing in the delineations of its area of concentration (the History of the Present Time), through the collaboration of scholars and researchers at national and international level, the PGPH-UDESC created in 2009 the Time & Argument Journal.
Published only in electronic format, the journal uses the Electronic System for Journal Editing OJS 2.2.3.0, an open-source system for administration and publication of journals developed with support, and distributed for free by the Public Knowledge Project, under the GNU General Public License.
Since 2014, it has been published quarterly (until 2014, the publication had been semiannual). Ever since the start of its publication, the periodicity adopted has been strictly respected.
In its Editorial and Advisory Board, the Time & Argument Journal relies on historians and researchers of the areas of Human Sciences - Brazilian and foreign - that stand out in the production of knowledge regarding the History of the Present Time.
In its first CAPES evaluation, released in January 2012, the journal obtained Qualis B2. At the beginning of 2013, the journal reached the upper strata of the area, being classified as B1. And, in 2016, the journal reached stratum A2.
It is indexed in the following bases:
The articles published, since 2009, also hold a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The journal has all of its texts in PDF and HTML formats, as well as an ePUB version for the reading in mobile devices such as tablets, e-readers, and smartphones.
