The admission of the students (both regular and special) in the Postgraduate Program in History is made through notices, which are broadly diffused on the pages of the Program (on this website and on Facebook).
REGULAR STUDENTS
The notice for the selection of regular students is always published in the month of December, given that the selection occurs during the course of the first semester of the following year. The registrations are made in July, with the classes starting in August.
The notice for the selection of special students to attend subjects in the Program is published at the beginning of every semester.
SPECIAL STUDENTS
Before the start of each academic semester, the PGPH discloses the Notice for the Selection of Special Students aimed at filling idle vacancies in the elective subjects of the semester.
The selection of the candidates for special students will be carried out by the main professor of the subject. Omission situations will be resolved by the Collegiate of the Postgraduate Program in History, with no possibility of an appeal by the candidates.
POST-DOCTORATE
The PNPD/CAPES (National Program for Post-doctorates) funds post-doctoral internships in academic stricto sensu postgraduate programs recommended by CAPES and has as its goals: the promotion of high-level studies; strengthening of national research groups; renewing of the staff of the Postgraduate Programs (PPG) in institutions of higher education and research; promotion of the insertion of Brazilian and foreign researchers in post-doctoral internship, stimulating their integration with research projects developed by the Postgraduate Programs in the country. The grants have a duration of 12 to 24 months and may contemplate foreign candidates. Calls usually take place in the month of May, with the selection process occurring in the month of June/July, and the beginning of the activities of the selected grant holder taking place in the month of September.
The voluntary post-doctorate has a duration of, at the very least, 12 months and can occur at any time, as long as it is accepted by a teacher and approved by the Collegiate of the Program.
