Public notice opens registration, set a date, time, and criteria for selecting the candidates of the Electrical Engineering Graduation Program at the Technological Science Center (CCT) of UDESC.
1. PROGRAM PROFILE
The Electrical Engineering Graduation Program (PPGEEL) has 2 (two) programs: Doctorate and Master´s programs. Research area: Electric and Electronic Systems. This area has two lines of research: Control and Instrumentation; Electrical Processing Energy.
2. ABOUT THE REGISTRATION
2.1. Application Period: Class 2022/1, From November 25, 2021, to February 28, 2022. Applications will be open for selection for up to 15 Doctorate positions and 15 Master´s positions.
2.2. Registration Location: Registration will be made exclusively through an online form which will be available during the registration period, at www.udesc.br/cct/ppgeel/processo_seletivo/regular.
2.3. The following documents shall be attached to the online form in .PDF format and have a maximum size of 1024Kb in each attached file: - Undergraduate transcript containing the total average of the courses taken, excluding failures; - Official statement from the educational institution with the total average of the courses taken, excluding failures (if the Academic Transcript explicitly contains such information, attach it again in the form; in the absence of this information, an average of 5.0 will be considered); - Work Plan – Annex I; - Letter of Acceptance – Annex II, or, in the absence of this, two letters of recommendation; - Curriculum Lattes – Annex III (other models will not be accepted);
Note: If you have articles accepted for publication in journals: forward by email to ppgeel.cct@udesc.br until the last day of the registration period for the selection process. - Graduate transcript in the following cases: a) Masters Academic Transcript – in the case of enrollments for the Doctorate program; b) Academic Transcript of courses taken in Stricto Sensu Graduation Program, if applicable. Only disciplines already completed, proven with a final grade, will be considered at the time of registration; in case it is approved without presenting the final grade, a grade of 7.0 will be considered. There is no need to present the courses syllabus.
Note: Candidates who select the part-time regime must present an academic transcript from the Stricto Sensu Graduation Program with at least 50% of the credits required to complete the Master´s and Doctorate programs. There is no need to present the courses syllabus.
2.4. At the time of registration, each candidate must specify who will fill out the reference letters that will be sent to the email ppgeel.cct@udesc.br, according to the guidelines in Annex IV. The letters must be filled out by university professors or higher education professionals who can give an opinion on the candidate's aptitude for advanced studies. Candidates who have a letter of acceptance from the advisor are exempt from making this indication, therefore, they don't need to send such letters of reference.
2.5. The documents attached to the online application will be received by the graduation secretariat and approved by the Selection Committee. The graduation secretariat has no obligation to warn candidates about a possible lack of documents.
3. ABOUT THE APPROVAL
3.1. Only the registrations that are in full accordance with the Public Notice will be approved. The publication of the approved registrations will be until March 8, 2022, available on the website www.udesc.br/cct/ppgeel/processo_seletivo/regular.
4. ABOUT THE SELECTION PROCESS
4.1. The selection process will be carried out by a commission, specially designated for this purpose by the Program Collegiate, and must follow the following criteria: a) Academic Transcript Evaluation (Classificatory), according to the Current PPGEEL Resolutions; b) Curriculum Lattes Evaluation (Classificatory), in accordance with the current PPGEEL Resolutions; c) Reference Letters Evaluation (Eliminator); d) Work Plan Analysis (Eliminator); e) Analysis of the certificate and syllabus of the Post-Graduation courses (Classificatory), if applicable; f) Interviews with candidates who do not have a defined supervisor and whose applications are approved (Eliminator): February 5, 2021, from 9 a.m.;
4.2. In the first stage, candidates who do not present all the documents required in item 2.3 of this notice will be eliminated from the selection process, following the models and standards required therein.
4.3. The second stage, which is classificatory, will be carried out according to the Resolutions in force of the PPGEEL;
4.4. Interviews with candidates who do not have a defined advisor and whose applications are approved: March 7, 2022, from 9 a.m.;
4.5. The interview will be conducted online, via video conference. Failure to attend the interview will result in the disqualification of the candidate.
4.6. Observations regarding the interview: a) In the registration form, the candidate must provide his email contact in the field reserved for this information; b) The Selection Committee will evaluate all requests and publish the results together with the interview schedules; c) The candidate must be connected and available on the day and time informed in the interview schedule; d) The online interviews must be carried out with video, thus the members of the commission can visually identify the candidate; e) The candidates will be responsible for establishing their connection. Any problems with your connection will be your responsibility; f) The duration of the interviews will be a maximum of 15 (fifteen) consecutive minutes; g) In the event of a connection failure, the time spent on reestablishing it will count towards the maximum time of the interview.
4.7. In the case of candidates who apply for a scholarship, the classification score will be given in accordance with PPGEEL Current Resolutions. Candidates who do not apply for a scholarship must meet the minimum requirements presented in PPGEEL Current Resolutions.
4.8. We highlight that the implementation and maintenance of the scholarships depend on the availability of funding resources from UDESC and abroad and is not the sole responsibility of PPGEEL.
5. ABOUT THE RESULTS
Class 2022/1: The final list of approved candidates will be published until March 8, 2022, and made available on the website www.udesc.br/cct/ppgeel/processo_seletivo/regular.
6. ABOUT THE ENROLLMENT
6.1. Successful candidates must register in accordance with the registration notice published by the graduation secretariat that will be available on the website: www.udesc.br/cct/secretariapos/matricula.
7. FINAL PROVISIONS
7.1. At any time, and at the discretion of the Selection Committee, if the submission of untrue documents and/or signatures is found, the candidate's registration or enrollment will be considered canceled.
7.2. The Electrical Engineering Graduation Program reserves the right not to fill the openings provided for in this notice.
7.3. Appeals can be made only through an allegation of strict illegality to the collegiate body.
