Prof. Daniel Bettú (PhD in Geology - 2012 - UFPR) has extensive experience in applied geophysics, hydrogeology, remote sensing, geostatistics, petroleum geology, and geological modeling. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC), in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, where he focuses on reservoir characterization and geological modeling, with a special emphasis on stratigraphic forward modeling and reservoir modeling for flow simulation.
Prof. Lindaura Steffens(PhD in Applied Mathematics - 2010 - UPC) has extensive experience in computational mechanics, mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, and simulation of physical phenomena. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC) in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, focusing on numerical modeling and reservoir simulation, with a special emphasis on well testing and real-time simulation for engineering applications.
Prof. Ana Soares (Geologist, UFPR 2001; PhD, UFRGS 2008) with experience in reservoir characterization, sedimentology, and stratigraphy modeling. Worked for 10 years at Petrobras and as a consultant at Karoon, focusing on reservoir geology. Completed postdoctoral research at UFPR, integrating geochemistry, hydrochemistry, and geophysics. Currently developing postdoctoral research in hydrothermal modeling at Observatório Nacional (ON) and work as a researcher at ICA-PUC/Rio, applying machine learning to geoscience problems. Collaborator Professor and researcher in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at UDESC.
Prof. Diego Mayer (Food Engineer, UDESC 2013; Mathematics Licensure, UFSC 2023; MSc in Chemical Engineering, UFSC 2016; PhD in Food Engineering, UFSC 2020; Postdoctoral Research in Chemical Engineering, UFSC 2021) with expertise in computational methods applied to engineering. Currently a Collaborator Professor at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC-CESFI) in Balneário Camboriú and a researcher in the computational division of the Forward research team, part of the GPER (Petrophysics and Reservoir Engineering Group) in the Petroleum Engineering Department at UDESC.
