Systems Automation is the main area of concentration of the Professional Masters course at PPGPEE (Professional Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering) and is characterized by taught classes, research projects and practical development of electrical and electronic systems, which also involves modeling, automation ,robotics, instrumentation, control and energy processing.
Within the concentration area of Systems Automation, two Research Lines are identified:
Electrical Controls and Drives: relates to the research and development of control for electrical machines, development of electronic energy processing converters and theirs control, the use and processing of alternative and renewable energies, as well as research into microgrids and electric vehicles (EV).
Manufacturing Automation: relates to automated manufacturing systems, including product engineering, numerical control and programming of automated systems, process planning, production management and integrated manufacturing systems.
Each of the lines of research cited above has a highly qualified faculty with great experience, supported by a structure of modern and equipped laboratories. They are fully developed and offer relevant research topics related to the interests of the regional and national productive sector/industry.
