Professional Graduate Program on Electrical Engineering

The Postgraduate Course in Electrical Engineering at UDESC-Joinville began with the creation of the Masters course in Industrial Automation in 1996, through Resolution 046/96 of the University Council (CONSUNI) and was recognized by the State Secretary for Education (CEE) by the State Decree 3.011 of 09/19/2001, published on 12/20/2001.
In 2004, the first adjustment of the course was carried out, with the creation of the Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering (Resolution 029/2004 – CONSUNI). The course was then renamed Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (research area in Industrial Automation).
In 2006, by means of the CONSUNI Resolution 045/2006, a new course was created within the Academic Program, called “Professional Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering” (research area in Systems Automation). In the same year, the Professional Master’s Degree was accredited by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). In 2008, the Academic Master’s Course in Electrical Engineering underwent a new reformulation, by means of the Resolution 036/2008 of the Teaching, Research and Extension Council (CONSEPE), aiming at its adequacy for a new submission for approval by CAPES. In June 2009, it received a recommendation from CAPES (Score 3), starting its activities in August of the same year. In the first half of 2010, the Professional Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering underwent its first triennial evaluation by CAPES, obtaining the Score 4 out of 7. In the most recent Quadrennial (2013-2016) of CAPES, the Professional Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering was again scored 3.

On June 13, 2018, by means of the local Resolution 02/2018, the Professional Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering, PPGGEE, was officially created, which now is called “Professional Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering”. PPGPEE is governed by Resolution No. 13/2014 (General Regulation of Postgraduate Studies) and by its internal resolutions.
