Physics Graduate Program – PGP

MASTERS IN PHYSICS (Beginning in August/2006).

Program Objectives:

The Graduate Program in Physics aims to train researchers at the master's level. Our alumni can continue their studies in any doctoral course in Physics in the world as well as teaching in higher education in Physics and technological courses.
 
Among the specific objectives, the following stand out:

• Offer solid scientific training, enabling students to carry out high-quality research in Physics and related areas.
• Contribute to the research development at UDESC, projecting the university in the national and international scenario and becoming a reference in the south of Brazil.
• Bring students from different regions of the country, increasing the national projection of UDESC.
• Prioritize basic formation, filling any gaps in previous training, and enabling them to enter any doctoral course in Physics.
   

Guided by the principles of freedom of speech, democracy, morality, ethics, transparency, respect for the people's dignity and their fundamental rights, we aim to create a challenging and stimulating environment for the students, encouraging free thinking and scientific rigor as foundations for building society.

The admission process is biannual.
