Program Objectives:
I. To form human resources in the field of Environmental Sciences for teaching, research, and knowledge transference to public and private companies;
II. To promote researches aimed at developing studies in the general field of environmental and their applications, contributing to the improvement of research, and qualifying the professors for teaching activities and for diagnosing and solving problems of environmental interest;
III. To stimulate interdisciplinary reflection and the interinstitutional contact through joint activities with other education, research, and extension institutions;
IV. To promote scientific production through publications and event organization and participation;
V. To consolidate a center of excellence in environmental sciences research, especially regarding the environmental impacts of productive activities;
VI. To foster interdisciplinary studies or those connected to environmental problems of the state, in the national and international spheres;
VII. To foster the integration between different organs and public and private companies seeking solutions to environmental problems.
Course:
MASTER´S PROGRAM IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES (Beginning in August of 2015).
Concentration areas and research lines:
ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT (Lines: 1. Environmental Technology and Modeling; 2. Environmental Management, Monitoring, and Control).
Program Differentials (Strengths):
The program presents interdisciplinary performance area, qualified and interinstitutional teaching staff, research support structure, and social insertion.
Minimum formation and other requirements for ingress:
The candidate must present higher education undergraduate diploma in area related to Environmental Sciences.
Form/period of ingress:
Selection is conducted biannually through written exam, curriculum analysis, and research proposal, regulated by notice.
